More Random Spanish Observations...

-The Spanish cut off the ends of a lot of their phrases or words, kind of like slang in America (i.e. talkin' instead of talking). For instance, instead of "Adios", you often just get "Adio". Instead of greeting you with "Buenas dias, tardes, etc.", they just say "Buenas". And no "Hasta luego", just "Luego".... I wonder if they'll understand if I just say "La vista, baby"....

-It doesn't matter what side of the road you're driving on, if you see a spot on the side of the road, you can pull into it. It doesn't matter what direction your car is facing, or what angle for that matter.

-You don't tip at restaurants or bars. I'm still getting used to this and made Elliot leave a euro for our bartender at the "Taberna Irlanda" (Irish Tavern) that's right by our house. Yep; we already found an Irish pub in our neighborhood...

-More tapas for dinner tonight! We had a delicious Spanish ravioli, pork loin tapas w/peppers and tomatoes, and a ham, bacon, and chorizo pizza on a cracker-like crust. Deeeeelish

-Restaurants use their restrooms as storage closets. It's amazing how mesmerizing Coke bottles can be when you're poppin' a squat

-Cell phone numbers only have 9 digits

-The emergency number here is 112
